I am a stepping stone. I willingly lay my knowledge in front of you. Use it to cross over any barrier that may be in front of you.
I am a stepping stone for those who want to get fit but are too shy for the gym. For those who understand that their health is greatly controlled by their fork but think a healthy diet is too hard or too expensive.
I am a stepping stone for anyone who sees their life in disarray and needs more organization, less chaos. For those who need to put their life in order but do not know how, where or even why to start.
If you want to live your best life whether you know what that looks like or not, I am your stepping stone. I will meet you right where you are and guide you step by step to a happier, healthier more fulfilled life.
I am your stepping stone but YOU have to take the first step. Leave me a comment below and tell me where you are and where you want to go.
The beginning of anything is the hardest for me. To not know what will happen or if I will make the right choices can be almost paralyzing. At least it used to be.
I’ve come to realize that the first step on any path is one of self love. Lao Tzu tells us that, ” the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.” I say that the first step is always the same, loving yourself where you are.
You see, if you can love yourself wherever you are, the outcome of the journey becomes less important. That is not to say that you should be satisfied where you are and never take the second step of your journey. In fact the opposite is true. In loving yourself you gain the confidence to try any and everything you want to. The difference lies in the fact that if you do fail you will still be okay. You will not fall apart berating yourself. Your pride may be hurt but you can easily learn from the experience, adjust and try again or release and move on to the next thing.
When we love ourselves we become free. We are no longer tied down by the opinions and expectations of others. Because we love ourselves we are confident in the decisions we make and we make decisions based on what we truly want rather than what we think will please another. We begin to choose more wisely the people we allow into our lives and more freely release those who no longer serve us.
Hopefully you can see the importance of self love. Hopefully you sincerely do love yourself. Many of us never even give a second thought as to how we feel about who we are. I have an exercise for you, even the most confident of you. You’ve made it this far for a reason so humor me. Take a moment and look at yourself in the mirror. Really look at yourself and notice what comes up. Stare into your eyes and acknowledge the person looking back at you. Now, say I love you. I’m not kidding, stop reading and go find a mirror….I’ll wait.
How did that feel? Were you able to hold eye contact with yourself? Did you believe you when you said I love you? There are no right or wrong answers only realities about how you feel about yourself. If you fell in love all over again while staring into your eyes, congratulations! Now go conquer the world. On the other hand, if you couldn’t look at yourself or something negative came up, it’s still okay. It’s you and you can change you. Learn to love you so you too can conquer the world.
Last night I was watching on as Danny-J from http://thesweatybetties.com/ received over 1,000,000 hearts on her periscope. As we chatted about what holds us back I mentioned that I had yet to do my first scope out of fear that no one would want to listen to anything that I had to say or that I was simply not good enough. She called me out and told me to just do it! Do not wait for the perfect time, perfect lighting or perfect topic just get on and do it. She didn’t say all of that but she did tell me to do it and I listened. Today at 2:22 MST I did my first periscope. I did a version of a vlog I have recorded and deleted a hundred times over but this time I couldn’t back up. Once I said something it was out there and I kind of liked it. I am not sure what niche my scope will fall into or this blog for that matter. I am hoping it takes shape as I go and see who my audience is. For now I am still just a self proclaimed know it all who thinks the world could benefit from what she has to say. I am still a scared little girl on the inside, fearful of rejection and failure. Fearful that I will never really find my voice and my online presence will be no more than an invitation into the journal which I have struggled for years to keep hidden. Regardless I have begun the journey. I have put myself out there as is and decided to be apologetically me.
My name is Tiffany and I am a personal trainer, whole living coach and self proclaimed know it all. I have decided to start blogging because I have so much to say. Although I am sure my friends love all the free advice I thought some of you might enjoy it as well. I am currently on a journey myself and this will be a place to tell my story, a place to share advice as I learn and a place to hold myself accountable.
I may be a trainer and a coach but I still have pounds to lose and self confidence to build. The one thing that I know for sure is that you have to believe in yourself if you want to get anywhere in life. I feel strongly that there must be a connection between your mind, body and soul in order for you to live your life to the fullest; hence the “whole living” coaching aspect of what I do.
Anywho, blogging is new to me and I am sure that this particular blog will grow on you as I learn more about what I am doing.
